Camping Area Riding/trails

The SKY LAKES WILDERNESS area (116,300 acres), is a short 1/2 hour trip to the trailhead from Happy Trails Cowboy Campground. Horses can be dropped off at one trailhead and you can be picked up at another the same day or 3 days later.

There are three major lake basins connected by many trails, and the Pacific Crest Trail traverses the Wilderness area from Crater Lake National Park to Oregon Highway 140 crossing over 35 miles of spectacular preserved landscape.
